FAQs

How do we get there?

From the Philippines: The nearest airport is in Queenstown.

The quickest flight route from the Philippines is Manila - Sydney - Queenstown via Qantas Airways. Other airline options include Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific.

From Queenstown to Wānaka: It is a 60-minute drive from Queenstown Airport to Wānaka city centre. You can either rent a car from the airport or use a shuttle service that will take you directly to Wānaka.

From Wānaka City Centre to Edgewater: It is a 5-minute drive or a 25-minute stroll from the city centre to Edgewater. This is the precise location on Google Maps. Taxis are readily available in Wānaka, but rideshare services like Uber are not. Free guest parking is available on the premises.

Where can we stay?

There are various Airbnb options available in Queenstown and Wānaka, depending on your itinerary. You may also opt to book a room directly with Edgewater Hotel where you can avail of a 10% discount using a checkout code that we can provide for you.

Where can I apply for a visa?

You can apply for a visitor’s visa online via the Immigration NZ website. We will provide you with an official invitation to include as part of your supporting documents. For Philippine passport holders, the average processing time for a visitor’s visa is 2-3 weeks and costs NZ$35 per person.

Will there be a program afterward?

No, there won’t be a formal program. We prefer our wedding to be an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends. After the ceremony, everyone is welcome to join the reception, spend time with each other, and take beautiful photos and videos.

What is the dress code?

Formal long gown for the ladies and preferably Barong tagalog or suit for the gentlemen. Please come in muted or pastel colours. Floral prints are welcome! You can check out our Pinterest board for inspiration. Please do not wear black or sparkly, neon colors.

The temperature is forecasted to be around 11 degrees celsius in the afternoon but can drop to as low as 2 degrees celsius by sunset. Feel free to bring coats and shawls to keep warm.

Can we bring a plus one?

To keep our wedding small and intimate, we are limiting attendance to our guest list only. Thank you for understanding!
